One lost job...one medical emergency...one momentary lapse in judgment... For many people, living in Delaware, one unfortunate event could mean living on the street. People without stable housing face insensitivity, prejudice, and often, violence. They are looked upon as a blight on the American social fabric and a drain on an overburdened government support system. Often, the reality is, that a majority of these human beings were once productive members of our society, fought for our country and only want the opportunity to regain their dignity. That's why we exist. The ISAAC House offers support, education and vocational training for homeless men over the age of 18. Our mission directive is to help prevent homelessness in men and give chronic homeless men supportive services in order for them to become stably housed, productive citizens of the State of Delaware. We will encourage homeless men by providing a work and learning environment where they feel challenged, respected, and accountable as they strive to overcome previous challenges. The ISAAC House offers HOPE...SHELTER...a new beginning. |

"When a poor person dies of hunger, it has not happened because God did not take care of him or her. It has happened because neither you nor I wanted to give that person what he or she needed". - Mother Teresa |
